Motion Detection


The DVR software supports motion detection. When objects move in a designated area, the DVR system will record the motion

and beep. The DVR system has a default sound file (c:/DVR/warning.wav). You can exchange the default sound file by following these steps:

  Step 1: Find or create a desired sound file in WAV format.

  Step 2: Rename the sound file to warning and replace c:/DVR/warning.wav

 

1. Motion Detection setting steps:

  Step 1: Click bitmap button "Config"

  Step 2: Select Motion Detection tab

1. Select the recording duration. 40 seconds is the lowest setting possible.

3. Select camera in the Select camera column

4. Left click (do not release) and drag mouse in preview screen to draw a rectangle area for motion detection.

5. For all other cameras, repeat step 3,4

Note: If you want all cameras' area for motion detection to be the same, click button All is same as above.

2. Alarm Beep setting steps:

  Step 1: Set "Enable" to the checked state.

  Step 2: Select beep's stop mode.

  Step 3: Input duration of beeping.

3. Send E-mail with Outlook setting steps:

  Step 1: Select camera ID in the Select camera column and set Send Mail to the checked state.

  Step 2: Input your E-mail address in the Send to Address field.

  Step 3: Adjust Jpeg Quality.

  Step 4: Set the state of Attach picture with email according to what you'd like.

  Step 5: Set Max emails within a hour to be sent and Min interval between two email.

  Step 6: Enter E-mail's Subject.

  Step 7: Add time into content to include a timestamp in the content of the email.

  Step 8: Input E-mail's content.

Please note that Outlook or Outlook Express must be installed on the DVR for these features to work properly.
